Join us for the Inaugural Head for the Cure Community 5k – Lebanon, MO. Erica Cantrell, of Plato, MO, was diagnosed with Astrocytoma Grade 4 in September 2023. They did the operation at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, with 5% still remaining on the brain and on the motor cortex. They were able to “kill” off the rest the tumor with chemotherapy and radiation. After months of physical/occupational/speech therapy, she finally got to return home. The average length of time they have left 12-18 months after first diagnosis. 22 months later though, we found out that it in fact had come back. This is why we want to partner with Head for the Cure to raise funds, awareness, and hope locally to the brain tumor community. The funds raised will go to the Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where Erica is currently receiving the best care. Thank you for your willingness to participate and see you at the starting line! This is not a “Timed” event
