In Remembrance

Kevin

Kevin Stansell

Kevin was born on January, 7 1983 in the small town of San Angelo, TX. to MaryJane and Vance Stansell and 3 year old brother Jason. He loved playing video games with his best friends David, Andrew, and his big brother Jason. Growing up on a horse ranch, he did not like the outdoors much, instead, he turned to his facination of computer mother boards and the “new” at the time internet. He was a bright young man, who smiled everyday and loved to make people laugh with puns, jokes and other wordplay one liners. As he grew into a young man, he graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX with honors receiving a computer science degree. Shortly after the start of his new adult life and his highschool sweetheart by his side, tragidy struck when he was diagnosed with brain stem glioma. After rounds of chemothereapy and radiation, Kevin put feeling sorry for himself aside and began to LIVE. He moved to Austin to enjoy a birdseye view of the city skyline. He apreciated the hussle and bussle of the downtown commuity, examining the evolution and the constructing of new buidings that continuously changed his view. For years, he walked to favorite restraunts, festivals, and events with friends and family. As time would have it, in early December, his tumor started to come back with vengence. After more chemo therapy, radiation, hospital stays, and all attempts to keep the life he loved so much, tumors dropped down his spinal chord, Fighting his battle became harder and harder in 2016. He relied on his family for support and love when it became clear that there wasn’t anything else that could be done. He came home to live out the rest of his days with his “Jessi” the love of his life whom he married, and the rest of his supportive family On the evening of November 18, 2016, Kevin’s fragil body became too tired to live on this earth, so he peacefully said goodbye with all the love in his heart.
