Shelly Speer

Shelly Gail Speer Born February 28, 1972 We won’t forget Shelly because we carry her happy spirit and smile with us. She packed a lot of life into 40 years. Shelly Speer passed away on January 22, 2013. She had been battling brain cancer for the last few years. She was the beloved daughter of Clay and Bonita Speer, the beloved sister of Scott Speer, and the beloved girlfriend and companion of Jason Waller. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents Billie and Doc Williams of Kemp, Tx; her maternal Aunt Andi and husband Paul Pastore and her cousins Eric and Kaci of Plano, Tx; and her paternal Aunt Sallie and husband Buck Hite and her cousins Zack and Monica of San Diego, Ca. Shelly was born in Dallas, Texas and lived in the Dallas/Richardson area until about 10 years ago when she moved to Austin. She graduated from Berkner High School in Richardson and North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. For the last 2.5 years she was the owner and operator of the Local Yolk, a food trailer located on E 6th Street in Austin. Shelly was a loving, free-spirited person, devoted family member and loyal friend. Shelly was adored by all that had the privilege of knowing her. Shelly requested that her body be donated to benefit others. We loved her.
