A Message From Founder, Matt Anthony:
Head for the Cure continues to be emboldened by the brain tumor community to carry on our mission to build awareness, raise funds and ignite hope on behalf of patients, caregivers and their loved ones.
After more than four years of dedicated leadership to our organization and the community we serve, Executive Director, Jenna Heilman, has decided to move on from her tenure into new adventures.
Jenna was so gracious to provide a significant notice period and for the past 8 weeks has continued to work her usual energy and determination with our unbelievable team to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible.
I have the highest level of gratitude for all she has done throughout her tenure as Head for the Cure Executive Director. In so many ways, Jenna made such a transformational impact on HFTC, our Board, our staff, and the community we serve. Her contributions to virtually every aspect of our organization, and to our community, will be felt for many, many years to come. I know each of you feel the same way and join me in heartfelt chorus of THANK YOU…THANK YOU…THANK YOU!!
I'm excited to announce some organizational changes.
I know you join me in expressing the highest admiration for Jenna and her tenure at Head for the Cure and the utmost confidence in Kelsi, Laura and the entire team. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as we work together to defeat brain cancer step by step.
Kelsi Seely
Kelsi Seely joined HFTC two years ago as a manager, and she has been promoted to the Director of Events, Operations & Programs. She is stellar at her job, immediately and continually earning the respect from Jenna, the Board, and, of course, our team. Kelsi is one of the most positive, energetic people with whom I have ever worked. With a connection to brain tumors after losing a loved one, she brings her personal knowledge to this disease to propel our mission going forward.
Laura Cooke
Laura Cooke joined HFTC three years ago and was recently promoted to Programs and Marketing Manager. Since her early days at HFTC, Laura has taken on any (and every) job imaginable. From our signature program Brains for the Cure to our annual fundraising campaigns to sponsorship support and solicitation, to the BTTC and NCI Connect partnerships, and countless other programs, Laura just tackles each job and makes them better.
