Led by Dr. Nina Paleologos, our neuro-oncology team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, specialized medical care to adults diagnosed with brain and spinal cord tumors. Treating tumors of the brain, spinal cord, spinal column, and nerve presents a unique challenge and requires the collaboration of multiple specialists. Some tumors are cured with surgery alone, but frequently surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments are needed to achieve the best outcome.
Our experienced neurosurgeons use advanced technologies to optimize the surgical care for the brain or spine condition. Our intra-operative computerized image-guided navigation systems provide precise targeting of tumors. The intra-operative MRI (iMRI) system captures real-time images of the brain before, during and after surgery. Those images give our surgeons the most accurate information for a more complete removal of the tumor and other abnormalities.
