I want to nominate Dr. Pierre Giglio, an amazing neuro-oncologist from The James Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University. Dr. Giglio cared for my little sister, Lori Jo Mines, from 2016-2019. Lori Jo was first diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in April 2016. As soon as we met with Dr. Giglio he had a great bedside manner! He spent countless hours with us explaining treatment options, telling us the results of her latest scans and answering all our questions. On many occasions, Dr. Giglio saw my sister not just a patient but as a beautiful person! He always treated her with the utmost respect and kindness especially in her last few months of her life! For this reason, I want to nominate Dr. Giglio
as a Healthcare Hero!
