Rachel is a clinical research nurse for the Burkhardtbrain tumor Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. She is one of the first people we spoke to when faced with the overwhelming uncertainty of a brain tumor diagnosis. My son Joshua was only 24 years old when he was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor after being life flighted to the Cleveland clinic. Rachael helped us to navigate all the appointments, surgeries, treatments, and procedures that were facing Joshua. Her upbeat attitude, caring demeanor, and positive outlook always make us feel better and give us hope. Josh is two years out from his diagnosis and we continue to see Rachael every four weeks at our appointments. We look forward to seeing her and are so grateful for all she has done for us and all of her patients at the Cleveland Clinic. She deserves to be honored as a healthcare hero.
