Diagnosed with GBM in June 2018 at the age of 52. Sean had never really been sick in his life, had nothing to indicate anything was wrong until the morning of June 28, 2018. He suddenly could not put words together or identify objects. His boss thankfully recognized something was wrong and called an ambulance. An hour later he had a grand mal seizure in the ER and a mass found in the left parietal lobe. Surgery was done and all standard of care and today he is still with us going strong. He runs and bikes regularly. He struggles with short term memory and occasionally slight headaches but his scans remain stable so far! He is an inspiration and encourager to so many battling this disease. We are thankful that he is with us after three years!!
