In Summer 2023, Alden experienced increasingly difficult symptoms all miss-diagnosed as panic attacks. In Nov. 2023, Alden entered the hospital and was rushed into emergency brain surgery. After hours of operating on a softball size tumor with significant brain bleeding, doctors reported she had cancer – a grade 4 Astrocytoma. From that moment, to today, Alden’s humor, wit, vulnerability, and ability to make genuine connections shines through and through. Despite the pain and complications from a life altering diagnosis, Alden’s perseverance is impeccable. She has received some of the most gut wrenching news anyone should hear, but her tenacity to not only survive, but to truly thrive, strengthens.
