My wife Angelica has been inspiring our family and others ever since she was diagnosed with GBM in 2019. Even with all the new challenges, she still managed to finish her Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition in 2022 and continued her career as a Registered Dietitian. She works in a level 1 trauma hospital and often sees cancer patients. Angelica does not hesitate to tell her story to her patients; letting them know that she beat and continues to beat the odds. The hope that she provides her patients is just as important as any other treatment they can receive. The empathy she has and the tears she cries with her patients come from an understanding of the uncertainty a cancer diagnosis brings. Even with all the uncertainty, Angelica does not slow down, nor will she let me which is the reason I am running today. Watching her continue to thrive and seeing her lust for life has made me fall in love with her all over again. I am lucky to have such an amazing woman in my life.
