Carolyn and I have been friends since freshman year of high school (we were 14 when we first me and now we are 61). I would most definitely nominate Carolyn because of her courage, and how she is so selfless. She gives her energy to her family, making sure her children and their children have their needs met. She has had the experience of great grief when her twin boys died. She has never forgotten them, but rather loves them all this time in her heart. This strength and will to “keep on going” is what makes Carolyn stand out. Her commitment to her family and friends is exemplary. When confronted with this obstacle called cancer, she “named it”, Mr. Bill. She is a realist and yet she is an optimist, living for hope in every day. Yes, she is my choice to be nominated to receive a “Keeping the Faith” award, because that is “who” she is and always will be…keeping the faith.
