On the night of December 12, 2013, the lives of Carrie and her family were turned upside down when a tumor was discovered in the occipital lobe of the left cerebral hemisphere of her brain. After surgery and treatment, Carrie had nearly five years of stable scans until August 2018 when the tumor was found to be active once again.

Over the last several months, Carrie has been through chemo, surgery and radiation and is continuing to fight her battle with amazing strength and bravery that is an inspiration to all those who know and love her.
