I’m nominating my sister, Charity, for the Keeping the Faith Award because she truly embodies what it means to stay hopeful in the face of unimaginable challenges. Earlier this year, Charity had brain surgery to remove a tumor, and shortly after, she was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive, and currently incurable form of brain cancer. Through it all, she has shown unwavering strength, humor, and grace. Even on her hardest days, she finds a way to laugh, encourage others, and hold onto hope. She’s leaned on her faith, her family, and her fierce will to keep going—and it’s inspired everyone around her. Charity has reminded me and so many others that faith isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about showing up, choosing joy, and believing in better days ahead.
