My brother Craig was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in the Spring of 2012 during his Sophomore year of high school. After undergoing brain surgery, Craig then went through 3 years of Chemotherapy, radiation, as well as physical and occupational therapy. During this time never once did my brother complain about how sick he was and giving up wasn’t an option. When others would tell him he wasn’t going to finish high school or live past 18 he would still continue to persevere. Craig still continued to pursue his relationship with Christ in the midst of the adversity of cancer and with the example of his faith in Jesus while he fought cancer he encouraged many others alongside him. Craig has been such an inspiration to me not only his faith, but his attitude towards life and encouragement he still continues to give me to follow my dreams. My brother constantly reminds me that even when we are in our darkest of trials God is still with us! Craig is now on year 5 of this journey even though chemo, radiation, PT, and OT have ended, his journey as a brain cancer Survivor continues. Craig is now a student at WSU working towards a Bachelors in Animal Sciences and I couldn’t be more proud of him as he continues to prove statistics wrong through the power of Jesus and getting closer to achieving his dream of being a Herpetologist. Craig is an amazing man of God and an inspiration to us all through his smile, humor, and faith. I love you Craig Man and I am so proud of you!
