Dante Reed is a 13 year old, 7th Grader at Thrall Middle School. In 2010, he & his two siblings were adopted by their Aunt & Uncle, who already had three children of their own. On September 24, 2013, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and surgery followed the next day to remove the tumor. Seven days later, the pathology results showed that he has a highly aggressive brain cancer called Medulloblastoma. The tumor was removed in its entirety, but he now faces a year of intense treatment.He has since completed 6 weeks of brain & spine radiation, and will soon begin 10 months of monthly in-patient chemotherapy. He will get homebound schooling for the next year, and misses his friends and his football team.
