Deborah Brown-Reed is someone who truly inspires those around her. In fact, she received so many nominations for a Keeping the Faith award, we knew she had to be someone special.
Deborah has been battling brain cancer since November 2008, and is currently on her second round of chemotherapy treatments following a second surgery this past December. But this doesn’t slow Deborah down. She serves on the board of directors of the Legacy Brain Foundation, an organization that raises money to help people pay for brain cancer treatments. She is also involved with a brain cancer support group, Grey Matters, and she even emailed the race organizers to see if she could volunteer for Head for the Cure!
Deborah’s spirit remains strong and she takes each step of her journey with courage and dignity, always reaching out to help others. She continues to Keep the Faith.
