Our father, DJ Becker, was diagnosed with glioblastoma in February 2025, only a few weeks after the birth of his granddaughter. Through two surgeries, clinical trials, and monthly trips out-of-state for treatment, DJ has faced every challenge with a relentlessly optimistic attitude. Despite this illness, he has remained the steadfast father, husband, grandfather, and friend that he has always been – supremely reliable, witty, and courageous.

Regardless of his diagnosis, glioblastoma does not define DJ. He spends his free time with family, gardening, and playing board games. He is a regular at the dog park with his dog, Violet, and is an avid sci-fi lover. He is truly devoted to those that he loves, evidenced through his 33-year marriage to our mom, Angie. Growing up, he was a consistent leader and supporter in all of our activities and the first person we would call in a pinch; in essence, the role model every child deserves. We are so thankful for and proud of our dad!
