Emma was diagnosed in March of 2012 just before her 14th birthday. She was diagnosed with Medullablastoma. Emma underwent 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy 5 days a week. She then had 6 months of chemotherapy where she would stay in the hospital for 5 days every 28 days. Emma is now 16 and currently in 11th grade. She still suffers from a few side effects. The one that drives her most crazy is memory loss. This makes it very difficult to study and learn like she used too. She often cries that she just wants to be normal. Breaks my heart.
