Eric is my nephew. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August of 1994 at the age of 8 years old. He underwent surgery to debulk the tumor followed by radiation to shrink the remaining tissue. He wasn’t expected to live. He is now 30 years old. Over the years he has experienced many highs and lows in his life due to the tumor and treatments he has had to endure. He has remained up beat and positive throughout his life and is a real hero in my book! He started having more acute problems recently and unfortunately the tumor has begun to grow again. Eric is reluctant to undergo any sort of aggressive treatment. We don’t know what the future holds for Eric, but he is not worried! He remains upbeat and happy on most days and is an awesome example of someone who knows what it means to “Keep the Faith”
