Eric’s journey with cancer began on January 2, 2019. We had just celebrated a family vacation to Disney World, Christmas, and the beginning of what promised to be a great New Year. When on his first day back to work he experienced a bad headache in which he smelt a strong sweet smell and became very ill. The next day he went to the doctor to be checked out and was sent for an MRI. Within a couple of hours the doctor called with the news that Eric had a 3” tumor in the front of his brain and he needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible. The journey had began, Eric was diagnosed with Glioblastoma IV. He needed brain surgery to remove 85% of the tumor. After a week long hospital stay and some recovery time he started radiation and chemo. Eric has always been the healthiest person I know he eats healthy, runs three miles every morning before work, and gets his annual check up’s. He had no signs and no warnings before his life was turned upside down with this diagnosis. Eric is an amazing husband, father, and the love of my life. His smile is contagious and he is a light in everyone’s life. One thing I know is Eric is strong, he is a fighter and he has chosen to be positive and to remain positive to fight cancer. As a family we have rallied together to support Eric and each other. Together we are STRONG.
