Eric

Sullivan

Submitted by:

17 months and counting since Eric underwent his first neurosurgery and was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma on his 46th birthday. Since then, Eric has undergone another surgery, two intense rounds of radiation, chemo, and more meds and devices than we can name. He has traveled all over the country for care, including the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake, Bozeman Health in Bozeman Montana, and Gunderson Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin. But through it all, two things that have remained constant…Eric’s determination to fight with everything he has and his love for adventure. Eric, and his wife Johnanna, promised that they would have one adventure for each treatment. The adventures may look a little different now, but they have kept that promise and have hiked, water skied, done backroad Jeep rides, biked, camped, and more. As Eric fights, the mathematician inside him strives to break every statistic. But more importantly, Eric’s signature joy for life and dry humor remains a constant. Eric is the epitome of our slogan, “Sullivan Strong!”
