Heather was diagnosed with an Oligodendroglioma in 2012 at the age of 25, with her first surgery that year followed by 12 months of chemotherapy. A brain tumor warrior, she’s since had two children that she was told likely wouldn’t be possible, and just had her 14 year anniversary at Bank of America where she works full time as a Vice President. She’s so passionate about supporting others battling brain cancer, and has openly shared her inspirational story with so many at work and in our community.
Her battle continues, and she had her second brain surgery on January 24th of this year. I’m so inspired by her courage, as she set a goal for herself to walk in this year’s 5K only 23 days later. She’s an incredible wife, mother, daughter, friend, and has an incredible Survivor spirit.
