Dad found out that he had gliobastoma in February 2017 and as you can imagine, our whole family was devastated. But instead of backing down and giving up, Dad has been the absolute bedrock for our family as we navigate this deadly disease. He has supported us, given back to the greater GBM and brain tumor community, and remained his passionate, giving self through every step of his treatment and journey. He contributes to his synagogue, is working at UT Southwestern, and supports the larger community through support groups and advocacy. Dad is on his final week of chemotherapy and will continue using the Novacure Optune. I am so proud of him and the work he has done and the support he has given our family and community.
