Jack has been my boyfriend for over five years. At the end of 2025, he began experiencing strange symptoms that were dismissed as vertigo. In early 2026, we moved to California after he accepted a new job. Just weeks later, an ER visit led to an MRI scan that revealed a large brain tumor. Two days later, Jack underwent brain surgery, where we learned he had a rare form of brain cancer, a grade 3 astrocytoma. We returned home to Michigan, where Jack has completed six weeks of radiation and is now undergoing chemotherapy at Henry Ford. At just 27 years old, he has faced challenges most people could never imagine. He has not let cancer define him. Instead, he has embraced this new chapter with hope, gratitude, and courage, inspiring everyone who knows him. I am endlessly proud of the person he is.
