On 5/24/19, my daughter Jessica Williams had 3 major seizures. She was taken to the ER and test showed a brain tumor. She was admitted to the ICU, intubated on the vent so that her brain could rest. She underwent surgery to remove the tumor, and we then found out it was a Stage 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. She was 29 with 6 children ranging from 4 to 11. Jess then had to go through chemo and radiation. She recovered from surgery, and while undergoing chemo and radiation, went back to work! She was determined to not give up and to fight for herself and her family. There were so many times she felt horrible but remained strong for her children. How she did it, I’ll never know. She says she gets her strength from her mom, but I don’t think I could have been THAT strong. We are now 6 years out. She continues to have to get MRIs every 3 months due to a recent scare, but praise God, she remains in remission. In my eyes she is a true warrior.
