In early 2023, Josh started having increasing headaches, tossing drumsticks during daily practice & struggling with walking & speech. An MRI revealed a tumor in the cerebellum & biopsy confirmed it was a Medulloblastoma. They removed a clementine-sized tumor from the cerebellum. His walking, speech & right side motor movement were all greatly affected. Josh has had the most amazing attitude since day 1 of this journey, reminding & encouraging others that “God’s got this!”. He has warriored through the hardest days with this mantra. He continued PT/OT/Speech therapies through radiation & chemo, determined he would walk, drive, talk, workout, & play with his kids again. Today he is doing just that! He walks, works, drives, plays, works out…the list of things he’s relearned keeps growing. In August, another MRI showed NED and they cleared him for port removal! Josh’s incredible faith, humor & determination are a blessing to those who love him & everyone he encounters on this journey!
