In May of 2023, Josh was life flighted to the Cleveland Clinic with a large mass on his brain. He underwent emergency surgery and faced another surgery on May 26th – an awake craniotomy. Surgeons were able to get most of the tumor and Josh went on to have radiation and chemotherapy. His diagnosis was a Glioblastoma. Due to the funds from efforts such as this Head for the Cure event, we are able to participate in a clinical trial for his particular cancer. He continues to be on this clinical trial drug and we go for appointments, blood work, EKGs etc every 4 weeks. He has MRI brain scans every 8 weeks. At Josh’s last scan we were thrilled to hear our wonderful doctor say that he cannot see any tumor at this time. Josh is truly a miracle! His positive attitude and faith have been inspiring! He is working, playing the banjo and piano and living a very active life! We continue to pray and rely on the Lord for our every need. He has a plan for this strong miraculous boy! Joshua 1:9
