Leonard was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme tumor at the end of March 2011 after experiencing a few crippling headaches and blurred vision in February and March.

He received surgical treatment at the end of April, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Len and his family have thoughtfully shared his (and their) journey with family and friends via emails and CaringBridge, providing everyone with insights about symptoms and treatments and the power of the prayerful support of a huge network of family and friends.

Len’s return to health was joyfully shared with his friends as he and spouse Nancy returned in June to his usher post at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.

Len has served as an inspiration to us all by marshaling his strength to demonstrate his faith and his love of his family and friends.
