I nominate Mark Ward for the Keeping the Faith Award. Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 Medulloblastoma in May 2011. He underwent 2 craniotomies and his doctors removed 2 quarter size tumors in the cerebellum portion of his brain. In June 2011, Mark’s 33rd birthday, he started chemotherapy and in September 2011 he started radiation. By the miracle of God, Mark is now 1 year in remission. The trials and struggles that our family has faced in the past 2 years is unexplainable. Mark won the fight for his life, he is a cancer survivor. We are joining Head for the Cure to raise awareness of brain cancer. I wish I could nominate every person that has or had cancer, because they all deserve an award.
