Our daughter was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November of 2013. Shay’s tumor was the size of a marble located in her temporal lobe. She had surgery December 3, 2013. When the doctors woke her up during surgery to check her language skills as they performed the surgery, her first thought was to ask how her family was doing. Following surgery, they found out her tumor was a level 2 glioma. After many months of recovery, Shay is now finding her new normal and living life to the fullest.

She has shown amazing strength, courage and perseverance through her recovery and as she learns to live with her diagnosis. She amazes us every day and we are honored and proud to have her in our lives.
