Michelle found out last December that she had something called a Stage 4 Glimbiastoma tumor. She’s been undergoing treatment at MD Anderson and was able to proudly ring the bell upon finishing her chemo and radiation. Everyone in the Lovejoy school district either knows Michelle or has been affected by the work she’s done for the kids there. She volunteers her time and talents constantly for the betterment of the Lovejoy kids. She was nominated and awarded the Texas PTA Lifetime Membership award, which is one of the highest honors that may be presented individuals for outstanding service to children and youth. This was said about Michelle: “On behalf of the Puster Elementary PTA, I am pleased to present you with this prestigious award. Your dedication to the PTA, teachers and administration has a ripple affect that we should all hope to measure ourselves by. From your expertise in planning Field Day, to living and breathing the PTA mission you have made such a difference to all who have walked through the hallways of Puster since it opened 5 years ago. You are truly an inspiration!” -Amy Bell, Puster PTA President Michelle is constantly reminding everyone around her that God is Great and she has given up her journey to Him. God bless you Michelle.
