Pat Owen is a true cancer survivor. In the past fifteen years, she had two bouts with Breast Cancer, then lung cancer in 2008, breast cancer once again, and was hoping those battles were finished. Then, on April 3, 2016, she was diagnosed with a Meningioma Brain Tumor (Type 2). Surgery was performed on May 5, recovery, then radiation through the end of August. She is recovering now, is back on her feet and starting to get her life back together. Lucky enough, each of her cancers was a new cancer, and not the spread of an existing cancer. She has been treated at MD Anderson in Houston and speaks very highly of the facility and the people that work there. They have saved her life. She hopes soon to get back to her art work, ceramics and especially her six Grandkids.
