In October of 2023 Peter began having memory issues. While out for a walk he experienced a loss of balance and inability to walk. He was diagnosed with brain lymphoma and was treated with chemotherapy that required hospitalization. He essentially lived in the hospital for a year and we couldn’t be more grateful to the team at Providence St. Vincent that treated him with professionalism and kindness. We were amazed at his ability to cope with the physical and mental toll of those hospitalizations. Peter has always been fiercely independent and a dedicated provider for his family. He has a wonderful, supportive wife as well as 3 daughters and 2 grandsons. He has worked tirelessly since his diagnosis to regain his physical and mental strength. His diligence with physical therapy has shown his resilience and he is now able to work in the yard, practice Tai Chi and enjoy hiking with his grandkids. He remains tumor free on his MRIs and we are so thankful for the gift of each day together.
