Phoebe has taken their brain tumor diagnosis and truly leaned in to the community. As co-facilitator of UCSF’s Young Adult Brain Tumor Support Group, Phoebe creates space for others to share about their frustrations, wins, fears, and the unique challenges that face survivors in the AYA brain tumor community. They also offer one-on-one support to others through participation in UCSF’s Thrivers neuro-oncology peer support volunteer program. Phoebe’s caring spirit and willingness to be raw and honest about their experience creates an instant connection with even unlikely allies, making them loved and valued by peers and clinicians alike.
