In July 2022, my mom went to an urgent care due to a headache and high blood pressure where she was diagnosed as having a stroke and transferred to Medical City Plano. After further test, it was determined that she did not have a stroke rather, she had a brain tumor. She immediately had surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, followed by six weeks of daily radiation and a year of chemotherapy. She is currently on a trial medication, Tibsovo, in addition to a plethora of others. Although she will never be in full remission, we are so thrilled that the medication seems to be preventing any additional growth. Praise God! Through her diagnosis and treatment she has continued to work full-time, and be the best mother, wife, and Lolli you can ask for. We are so thankful for her continued fight, strength, and perseverance. She is brave. She is strong. And she shows up for everyone around her, regardless of how she is feeling. We sure do love her!
