Sandy was diagnosed with glioblastoma in October 2013 when she was 65 years old. She had surgery, radiation and chemo and then she and her husband moved to Florida permanently. She and her husband continue to enjoy life to the fullest; enjoying many activities with their friends and family. Since her diagnosis, they have taken a road trip to Minnesota, a train trip to Washington D.C., and a bus trip to North Carolina. In June they plan to drive from Florida to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. Sandy’s positive outlook on life is an inspiration to all that know her. Sandy flew in from Florida this week to walk this 5K today with her sister and her niece and to lend her support to HFTC.
