On September 18, 2018 my dad Scott had a seizure while working. He was rushed to the ER where the scans revealed he had a grade 4 Glioblastoma brain tumor. Shortly after, he was operated on and most of the tumor was successfully removed. He underwent 6 weeks chemo and radiation followed by various clinical trials through the Cleveland Clinic. He remained stable for many years while participating in the immunotherapy trial and was able to come off of the trial in late 2023. He returns to the clinic regularly for MRI scans to check the tumor. His strength and positivity has been paramount through this.  I am thankful every day he is still here with me and for his strength and his Cleveland Clinic care team. I am so moved by his perseverance in this time that is so uncertain and anxiety inducing that I would like to nominate him to be recognized in his fight and as a symbol of hope for other cancer patients.
