Keeping the Faith

Patrick

Stevie Patrick by now is a name you may be familiar with, as she is the inspiration for bringing this event to Texas.

Almost a year ago to the day of the inaugural Head for the Cure 5K – North Texas, Stevie was diagnosed with a grade 3 Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumor.

A healthy 28-year-old who ate organically and owns a fitness company with her husband, brain cancer was the last thing Stevie considered when she started experiencing extreme fatigue and headaches. But after the stunning news, she chose to embrace the challenge and share her journey to help spread awareness about brain cancer and raise money to help find a cure. Stevie says, “I choose my attitude; that’s one thing I’m in control of.” And her attitude to courage, grace and lots of spunk is what makes her such an inspiration to everyone who meets her.

Her latest MRI scan came back clean a little over a month ago, and although she still faces side effects from the treatment, she continues to Keep the Faith.
