My son in law Taylor was diagnosed in February 2024 with oligodendroglioma at the age of 30. He had an awake surgery performed by Dr. Q in Mayo to remove the tumor. He then endured 33 radiation treatments and started chemo with many rounds. He encountered several side effects and visited Mayo ER on many occasions. Due to radiation he had necrosis and needed surgery #2 to remove this. The surgery was successful and his vision side effects were resolved. He did encounter a lot of swelling and visited the ER once again. Good news was provided in July 2025, the tumor was dead and the MRI showed unremarkable results. Over the course of 1 1/2 years Taylor never lost faith and turned this over to God for his strength. He never complained about anything or was buried in self pity. Through all of this they had a miracle baby and kept up with their 2 1/2 year old daughter. Both Taylor and my daughter Madison are a pillar of strength and faith through all of this battle.
