Tom

Trabon

On Tuesday, June 24, my dad, Tom Trabon was diagnosed with glioblastoma. My shock as well as that of the rest of my family and all our friends was enormous. Tom (Dad) is such an active and vital person. He loves snow skiing, scuba diving, traveling, going to concerts, Ku football games (yes people do go) and perhaps most of all, working to help his many clients. After surgery, he is three weeks into his radiation and chemotherapy treatments and is handling both extremely well. Tom has a great outlook and is taking all of this in stride. He is a stubborn man and is not going to let this keep him from pursuing his interests and enjoying life. He’s still getting to the office (mostly so he can go to his favorite lunch places), and is going to be able to attend a family wedding in Napa, one of his favorite places. Tom and wine go hand in hand, hence our team name “Cheers for Tom”. Tom has played a huge part over the years in revitalizing downtown. He’s a past President of the Downtown Council and is currently the Chairman of the Streetcar Authority. He is also on the Board of the Economic Development Corporation and continues to serve the Downtown community. Please join us in walking or running to find a cure!
