Travis was diagnosed with glioblastoma in October of 2016. After 3 craniotomies (one planned, two to fix complications) Travis immediately set to work raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. During radiation and chemo he trained for and walked all 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon Course as part of the annual Jimmy Fund Walk, leading a team that raised $25,000 for brain tumor research in the process. A second tumor has taken away much of Travis’ physical capabilities, but not his spirit. He tries to do one Cancer Walk each month even if his wife has to push him in his wheelchair for much of the course. He continues to raise funds and awareness for various brain tumor charities, while still battling his two brain tumors. He is excited for the Cleveland Head for the Cure Walk and is building his team (Team Wolverine). Read more about Travis on our blog – TeamWolverineBlog.wordpress.com
