Meet Winston Bruns, a man whose spirit burns brighter than any obstacle life throws his way. When brain cancer knocked on his door in June 2015 with a devastating Anaplastic Astrocytoma grade 3 diagnosis, Winston didn’t just answer – he kicked the door down with unstoppable determination!
Just three weeks after brain tumor surgery, Winston walked alongside his family at their first HFC 5k. One year later, he stepped onto a bodybuilding stage, claiming 3rd place. Not satisfied, he competed again just a week later, taking 2nd place!
Through the last ten years, his body has challenged him with injuries and even a double hip replacement. Yet, Winston’s resolve never wavered. While some days are harder than others, he perseveres. He’s become a friend and supporter in the brain cancer community, helping others through their journey and providing positive influence to those around him.
