My stepmom, Beth, never left my dad’s side since his diagnosis of Grade IV GBM, the week of Thanksgiving 2019. She slept at the hospital ICU and was his full time caregiver when he came home from rehab and through his hospice care. I will always be grateful for the physical and emotional strength she gave to my dad during his illness. I was able to sleep at night on the other side of the country, knowing that my dad was in Beth’s loving care. I can’t imagine the toll its takes to be a full time caregiver and see the person you love slip away from you, but Beth deserves this nomination and so much more. Thank you Beth.
