Emily Sertage is the daughter of Cheryl Sertage, a 2017 Keeping the Faith honoree who unfortunately succumbed to GBM in 2020. Emily was her mother’s biggest cheerleader. She and her mom participated in every Head for the Cure 5K since her mother’s diagnosis and generously supported the efforts of the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center by forming a team to raise money for the event. Emily demonstrated maturity beyond her years and now studies at Michigan State University. Emily’s future is bright and we know her mother would be proud of the outstanding young lady she’s become.
