Karen Kuryla has blessed BIND: Brain Injury Network of Dallas for several years as a dedicated friend and volunteer. Karen first introduced herself to our small BIND group when she retired from a long career in nursing – and it was immediately obvious that she had boundless energy and a gracious heart. She quickly built relationships with our program members and brought her perspective as a compassionate caregiver to her dear husband Steve. Year after year of service with BIND, Karen has shared her loving smiles, hugs, enthusiasm, commitment, and tremendous knowledge of brain injury resources to the BIND community. She is always willing to help anyone at any time and she brings her whole heart with her every time. We were thrilled to select and recognize her as The 2020 Goodman Award recipient from BIND because she truly embodies an unmatched passion for the BIND mission and its core values: Quality, Service, Determination, Respect, & Teamwork!
