My mom is the ultimate supporter of brain tumor research and support. She has been on the board of the the Grey Matters Support group in Plano, TX. She is also on the board of the Nick Gonzales Foundation for Brain Tumor Research. She also has been an avid volunteer for the Brain Injury Network of Dallas for several years. She is the primary caregiver for my father, Stephen Kuryla. He is a 23 year Brain tumor survivor of a oligodendroglioma. She also makes quilts for cancer patients through the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Quilt Ministry in Plano, TX. She supports several brain tumor survivors, their care givers, and loved ones on a daily basis.
