I nominate my husband, Matt Dickson, for the legacy of love award. Once I was diagnosed, Matt hasn’t left my side. When I was in the hospital, he bought an air mattress so he could be with me every night. His world was flipped upside down when we found out about my bran tumor/cancer but he has been so strong for me and our three kids. I was & am a stay at home mom, so he is the sole provider for our home and did not complained about all the extra responsibilities that fell on him. I couldn’t drive for 6 months and he had to drive everywhere! School, sports, parties, etc. our kids never missed anything because of his unwavering commitment to me and our family. He loves deeply and constantly puts me before himself. Whether it’s running to get me a smoothie, giving massages so I’m comfortable, or just letting me cry and be scared, he lifts me up everyday with his positivity and love. He is my soulmate and keeps me laughing and happy everyday.
