From Katie:

I want to honor two of the most selfless, devoted, and loving people I know—my parents, Patty and Jim. Their unwavering dedication to caring for my brother, Jonny, in the face of a brain tumor diagnosis is nothing short of extraordinary. They have given up so much—time, comfort, plans, routines—without hesitation, choosing instead to pour every ounce of their energy into making sure he is supported, safe, and surrounded by love. They’ve faced everything with strength and grace, never backing down from being his fiercest advocates. They’ve become his voice, his champions, and his constant source of comfort. What they’ve done is the truest example of what it means to be a parent: to show up, no matter how hard it gets, and to love without limits.

From Jonny:

My parents have been my absolute rock since my diagnosis. I have very limited mobility and they help me with everything. I would not be able to survive or do much of anything without either of them. To say they have done a lot is nothing but an understatement. They not only help with every activity I do, but they also have kept me on a positive mindset getting through this difficult time.

They help with everything from daily medications to the bedtime routines and never skip a beat. They have been nothing short of incredible and I know as a fact I would not be in this same position today without them. They both mean more to me than I can put into words. A simple thank you for all they do on a daily basis is simply not enough. They have both been a huge part of this fight and continue to motivate and fight each and every day. I love you Mom and Dad more than words can say… even though that does not give my feelings justice.
