My husband, Rich Martin, has been there for me since day one. He is my Rock and my Rockstar. He never signed up for this, but he’s never complained… not for a second. He was there for me when I woke up from my full-awake craniotomy, when I had to endure 12 weeks of physical, speech and occupational therapy, when I couldn’t “push my words out,” when I had a recurrance only one year into my cancer life, when we dove to Minnesota for a 2nd opinion, when I had to have chemo and radiation, when much of my hair fell out, when I run all of these 5k races, when I completed a triathlon and even now when I can’t do much of the physical activity that we’ve enjoyed doing together since my initial diagnosis, he stands by me cheering me on. He is the most encouraging, patient, loving, kind and humble man I have ever known. I am blessed to have him for my husband, life partner, co-parent and soul mate. He’s not one to brag, so I’ll do it for him; a few years back Rich WON this 5k!!
