My partner Tre earned his stripes over the last 6th months. While we were visiting Tre’s dad as a patient at the Orlando Health Ocoee ICU, I had my medical event and passed out which then revealed my 4cm tumor and resulting 3week hospitalization and emergency surgery. Tre never once wavered in his support since that day. Tre had minimal background medical knowledge but throughout this journey, he has been to every doctor appointment and therapy visits to gain information and knowledge to best support my needs. Tre took nearly a month off work to never leave my side and when we transitioned back home, he picked up the slack in the household duties I could no longer do. Tre has been the most supportive and encouraging partner, cheering me on with every day improvements. I am so proud of Tre and how he has navigated this crisis while never once flinching or complaining. He deserves all the recognition!
